Import Services

It can consume a lot of your time if you have to sit down on your POS and enter every service your store is providing one by one. RepairDesk is like no other repair POS hence, it comes with a smart feature of importing services without wasting much of your time. You get to enter all your services in a sheet and have it mapped on your store within a few clicks so, you get to spend more time catering your customers.

How to Import Services?

If you are interesting in knowing the process to import services, we must begin with opening the proper path. Follow the path below and then proceed with the steps provided:

Path: \Items > Services

  1. Click on the Import/Export button placed at the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Click on the Download Sample File dropdown at the right corner of the screen below the steps defined. From the dropdown, select the format of the file you want to download. In case you have downloaded the file beforehand, you can skip this step.
  3. Open the downloaded file and enter all the data in the designated columns. Save it once you are sure about the data you entered.
  4. Head to the Service Import page again and click on the cloud-upload image present in the Upload Item Data section.
  5. Select the document from your computer and upload it. Click on the Next Step button in the right side of the screen.
  6. The next screen will allow you to select where you want to map the entered values. The mapping is set by default but if you want to change mapping, you can do so by dropdowns available in front of every information.
  7. Click on the Next Step button placed at the right side of the screen.
  8. New screen will provide you an overview of the information you are about to import. Review the information and click on the Confirm Import button at the right side of the screen. In case you want to make some changes, click on the Back button placed next to Confirm Import button.
  9. On the new popup screen, click Confirm button to proceed with importing services.

Pro Tips:

  1. The second row in sheet is meant for providing you an overview of the information you should enter in the rows below. Editing the instructions will stop your file from being uploaded.
  2. Name of the service is a mandatory field.
  3. You can't make new rows or columns in the sheet as information from the would not be pulled by RepairDesk.
