Grading

How do we grade

The checker holds the device 18 inches away from their eyes and rotates it 360 degrees for about for about 30 seconds. Based on their visual assessment one of 5 grades is assigned-Grade A, Grade AB, Grade BC, Grade B, Grade D

Our functional grades

We have 6 functional grades for our devices

Fully Functional – These devices have passed all functional tests and have complete functionality

Minor Failure – These devices have minor functional failures like earpiece, microphone, vibrator, hardware buttons. These failures typically can be fixed with a part change

Face Id / Touch ID Failure – These devices have failed Face Id / Touch ID tests but have passed all other functional tests

Rear camera Failure – These devices have a failed rear camera but have passed all other functional tests. These devices typically can be fixed with a rear camera replacement

LCD / Touch Failure – These devices have a failed LCD / touch failure. This typically requires a new LCD screen on the device

Board Level Failure – These devices have a board level failure and typically require micro soldering to be fixed

Is your grading consistent order to order?

Consistency is our biggest promise to our customers–both in terms of product availability and grading. You will find that we will always be stocked on most SKUs and always have the same quality and functional outcomes

Is there variation from device to device?

1. Yes in pre-owned devices, it is not possible to have the same device so there is variation device to device. 2. However, each device will individually meet our criteria for that grade

What if some devices do not meet my expectations?

1. We offer a 90 day, full refund policy on your first 5 orders to make sure you get the products you expected. 2. After your first 5 orders, we expect that you will have experience our grading consistency and spread and will offer replacements only

What is the return process?

1. You can request returns by emailing [email protected] 2. You will need the IMEI/Serial, 2ndlife invoice number and reason for return. Returns are approved within 24 hours.

Once you register, you can place an order online and check out. If you need larger quantities, you can also call, text or Whatsapp us and we can discuss order specific pricing

What warranty do you offer on your products?

We offer a 90 day, full refund policy to make sure you get the products you expected. This policy is limited to 30 days during new product launch times and is clearly mentioned on the invoice

Can I get pictures/video of a batch

You can request pictures/videos of any of our current stock. Please text or whatsapp 650-394-7310 and we will share promptly

Ordering

Which order process should I use?

You have the flexibility to use both our online and offline order process. Typically, single or multi store retailers use our online order process. Our offline order process is most effective when you want to place a large order and discuss order specific pricing.

Can I pay by credit card?

For small orders of up to $1500, you can pay by credit card. However, there is a 3.5% convenience fee when paying by credit card

When will my order ship?

Your order will ship next business day after your payment is received. You will receive an email and text confirmation when your payment is received. A tracking number is provided once your order ships

Can I change/cancel my order?

You can change/cancel your order till your order ships. For order changes/cancellations, please email [email protected] or text/Whatsapp 650-394-7310. We will get back to you within 60 minutes to confirm your changes.
