What is the ePOS android app?

The ePOS app is an Android-based application that streamlines the front desk operations of a repair shop. It digitalizes all tasks related to running a repair shop, such as creating and managing tickets, ordering parts, generating invoices, interacting with customers, and more. The app is designed to make it easier to manage the day-to-day operations of a repair shop and improve efficiency.

What can you expect?

This app is an extension of the RepairDesk 2.0 point of sale (POS) system and includes key features such as a cash register, ticket creation, refund functionality, invoicing, and customer listing. It provides a comprehensive solution for managing the front desk operations of a repair shop.

Getting started

To get started, you can download the app from the Play store using this link.

In order to use the app, you have the option of running it independently or connecting a label printer and barcode scanner for enhanced efficiency.

Rongta label Printer

To print a label using the Rongta printer with the Android app, follow these steps:

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your device and connect to the label printer. Ensure that the label printer appears in the list of connected devices.
  2. In the ePOS app, create a repair ticket and complete the checkout process.
  3. The app will begin preparing to print the label and will display a progress bar. Once the process is complete, tap the "Print Label" button.
  4. A list of Bluetooth-connected devices will be displayed. Select the Rongta printer (RPXXXX) from the list. The app will print the label within a few seconds.

Please ensure that your label printer is turned on and connected to your device before attempting to print a label.

Barcode Scanner

The barcode scanner is a useful tool for quickly scanning items and adding them to the app. To set up the barcode scanner:

  1. Connect the barcode scanner wire to the appropriate input port.
  2. Once the scanner is connected, you can use it to scan barcodes and easily locate items, invoices, and tickets within the app.

Using the barcode scanner can speed up the process of adding items to the app and help you stay organized.

Can I create a new account on the app?

To create a new account, you can visit RepairDesk website and sign up. Once you have set up your account, you can log in to the ePOS app.

Can I use a thermal receipt printer with the epos app?

This feature is currently unavailable. However, you can save all of your receipts and invoices directly to your tablet.

Can I process card payments through the app?

Yes, you can process card payments and offer refunds through the ePOS app. All you have to do is set up the different payment methods on the Repairdesk web app and you are good to go.

Is the application supported for my device?

The application is supported for all android tablets (minimum 7 inches in size) with Android OS 9 and above. However, the recommended size for our app is 10 inches.

What version of RepairDesk is the app compatible with?

The ePOS app is compatible with only version 2.0 users. Users with the generic or 1.0 versions will not be able to access it.

Can I use the buyback functionality on the app?

We don’t offer the buyback functionality currently but you can always use it on the web app.

Can I claim warranty on the epos app?

No, you can not claim warranty currently through ePOS.
