A category builder is a tool that allows you to create, organize and categorize your store's
item in a structured manner. It helps you to assign item with nth level categories.
1. Go to the left navigation bar and select the store icon to access the category builder document.
2. Create a new root category under All Categories by clicking on the Create New Category button
3. You can specify the category attribute after selecting the category.
How to configure Asset Form against the category?
Configure Asset Form to create custom fields to streamline your asset check-in process by selecting a category in the category builder document type.
Manage fields option will allow you to create, edit & delete fields in a single drawer for all the categories.
You can add comma separated values to enable multiple options for specific field types in the manage fields drawer.
Unhide fields to edit asset form layout against each level of the category to create a custom form according to your check-in flow.
Select copy current form from three dots to paste the form in a specific category.
Paste here option will be available on each level of categories to save the changes for that specific category.
Reset option will set the form into the empty state.
Hit the save button to reflect the changes done in the layout for each category.
Copy to all sub categories option will allow you to copy the form till the last node of the linked category.
Mark the field as mandatory and specify width for each field from the three dots option under each field.
How to add a Condition checklist against the category?
You can set up condition checklist to specify asset condition at the time of check-in.
Condition checklist added at the parent category level will be inherited at the child level.
Select Add New field option to specify checklist name for the category.
