When you order a product in bulk, it becomes a bit difficult to manage it. You might have to tag every product just to remember the quantity and details. Things get more difficult when your order the same product from different suppliers. This mess can be avoided easily by creating serials for every product. You can create serials for repair parts as well.
Serialize Repair Parts
RepairDesk empowers its users to create serials for any repair part they want within a few steps. This will make your work easier than ever while you don't have to change any processes. To do so, you will have to first create a repair part following our pervious knowledgebase. When done, follow the steps given below:
Choose the repair part you want to serialize and open it for editing.
Click on the Enable Serialized Stock checkbox present at the left side of the screen.
It will add a new section, Serials, on the top. Open the tab and click on the Generate Serials button.
Now, use the new screen opened to enter details of the product like quantity, supplier, unit cost, price, description and click on the Next button at the bottom of the right to create serials.
On the new screen, check the details of the serials created and click on the Confirm button at the bottom of the screen once you are sure.
You will see serials created on the screen. You can print barcodes and serials or delete serials by selecting all serials from the checkboxes on the left and click on the Actions dropdown.
